AOPA is the professional association representing Orthotists and Prosthetists within Australia. As the peak professional body for P&Os, sponsorship of the Associations numerous communication tools and events provides prime exposure.


There are two key areas for corporate sponsorship, being the full-colour quarterly Gazette magazine and the AOPA website.

These can be utilised singularly, or combined into a package. Potential sponsors are also encouraged to think outside of the Gazette and the Website, and consider where assistance can be provided to support and further develop other AOPA activities.

 Other Sponsorship Opportunities

AOPA is an Association built largely on volunteer time contributions from within its members base. As such, the ability to run education sessions, increase member resources and tackle political and professional issues, is reliant on time and the availability of funds. There are numerous ways in which all sponsors can assist AOPA in reaching and educating it members, and these are listed below. Should you have any further ideas on how your organisation or company could assist AOPA with its growth in the allied health industry, please do not hesitate to make contact with us.

  • Sponsorship of AOPA National Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events, run via video conferencing or as a workshop
  • Sponsorship of State Branch CPD events for addition to the website
  • Sponsorship of new member and renewing member packs
  • Co-branding of products for AOPA members, such as tape measures, pens and pads

At the meeting with the National Health & Hospital Reform Commissioners;  AOPA supported a Primary Health Care strategy which co-ordinates a best practice multidisciplinary approach for optimum patient outcomes, however AOPA was concerned that with the current prediction of a 25% increase in diabetes within in the next 8 years, if best practice is not implemented the number of amputations could crush the public hospital system;

It was pointed out that P&O's are an integral part of Primary Health Care teams in every tertiary hospital in Australia but omitted from the MBS EPC allied health list, resulting in diabetics often not being referred to Orthotist's.  The Commissioners requested supportive documentation which AOPA supplied.

Suppliers please consider applying for AOPA CPD-Accreditation for your next educational event.  AOPA members will receive a known number of CPD points for attending your event and when you provide us with the attendee list, we will record the CPD points against each members CPD Activity log (so in June members are not stuggling to remember what they have attended during the year).
